Since joining the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, David Beckham has played in Denver only once, but he expects to play Saturday night when the Rapids host the MLS champions at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Beckham had a recent hamstring injury, but played the full 90 minutes last Saturday in a 3-1 victory over Portland, scoring a spectacular goal in second-half injury time.

"Yes, everything's good so far, and I've recovered almost fully from the hamstring and other little niggles that I've had," Beckham said. "I'll be there."

Because of a variety of injuries — including a ruptured Achilles tendon in 2010 — Beckham's only game appearance here came in 2008.

He also was here in street clothes for the 2007 MLS All Star Game, just days before making his first appearance in a Galaxy uniform.

"It's obviously been unfortunate, because I've always liked playing against Colorado," said Beckham, 37. "It's always a tough game, so I'm excited about this one. I'm looking forward to coming back."
