Commerce City police are trying to unravel a shooting that might have involved a robbery at a clothing store this afternoon.
One person was shot and two men fled the Joyeria Alondra boutique just before 4 p.m., Detective Mike Saunders said, describing it as a "possible" robbery attempt.
"We're not too sure of the motive yet," he said at about 5:15 p.m.
He said it was also not yet clear whether the shooting victim, who was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, was a store employee or one of the robbery suspects.
"We're trying to figure out a lot of things," he said. "We're still talking to witnesses and taking statements."
He said the events, including the shooting, happened inside the store at 5908 East 64th Ave.
Saunders said more information about the incident would be released as investigators confirm it.
