Saturdays. Golden will show off its abundant Christmas spirit at weekly "Olde Golden Christmas on Parade" events. Every Saturday through Dec. 22, a happy holiday parade makes its way down Washington Avenue, filled with music, lighted floats, elves and, of course, an appearance by Santa. Holiday revelers can snuggle up in free horse-drawn carriage rides, too, and little ones are invited to pile in carts pulled by Newfoundland dogs. The Newfie rides are free but they'll also be taking donations for a breed rescue organization. Parades begin at 11 a.m. Saturdays through Dec. 22. Horse-drawn carriage rides run from noon to 4 p.m.; 12th Street between Washington Avenue and Arapahoe Street. Newfie rides run from noon to 3 p.m., at 12th and Jackson Streets. Free. 303-279-3113 or visitgolden.com
