Thursday-Dec. 28. If you're going to attempt something as absurd-sounding as the "One Man Lord of the Rings" show, you'd better have a good sense of humor. Fortunately, Canadian creator Charlie Ross is not only a comedian, he's also done this sort of thing before (in last year's "One Man Stars Wars"). Ross' latest show, which comes to the Lone Tree Arts Center a couple weeks after the first installment of "The Hobbit" movie adaptation hit theaters, features 46 characters (Frodo, Gollum, Gandalf, etc.) and the judiciously edited plot of the J.R.R. Tolkien classic in about 70 minutes. Take a deep breath before the plunge, everyone. 8 p.m. Thursday and Dec. 28. $36. 10075 Commons St. 720-509-1000 or lonetreeartscenter.org.
