Update, 5:45 p.m.: The Texas Department of Transportation said this evening that Trans Mountain Road has been opened. The mountain road had been closed since Thursday because of snow and ice.
Original, 12 p.m.: Police and emergency personnel have responded dozens of accidents and traffic calls since 1:30 this morning.
There are reports of an eight-car pile up on Loop 375.
Scenic Drive remains closed.
Texas Department of Transportation is reporting the followning road conditions:Ramp H (ramp leading from I-10 East to US 54 North is open.
The Anthony Gap is open.
The following closures remain in place:
TransMountain (Loop 375)
I-10 East from Mile Marker 62 (Hudspeth County) to Mile Marker 135 (Van Horn)
I-10 West from Mile Marker 135 (Van Horn) to Mile Marker 62 (Hudspeth County)
US 62/180 from Hueco Tanks to the state line
US 70 is closed at the San Augustine Pass due to snow pack and icy conditions.
New Mexico DoT has updated its roadway advisory site with the following entries:
US-70 NASA to White Sands Missile Range (mile post 161 to 171)
These routes are snow packed and icy conditions, with slick roadways. Avoid traveling these areas until conditions change.
I-10 from Texas state line to Arizona is open.
