An Aurora man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Wyoming just outside of Laramie.
Joshua L. Baum, 20, died at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of a 2002 Saturn on I-80 in Albany County, according to a Wyoming Highway Patrol media release.
Baum was westbound and came to a right-hand curve when, for unknown reasons, the car drifted into the median. The driver overcorrected and the car crossed both westbound lanes and went off the highway in a broadside slide.
The Saturn went down a steep embankment and crashed into a rock pile. Baum was thrown from the car. He died at the scene.
Investigators suspect that distracted driving and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, the release said.
