Two people of interest in a triple slaying may be living in or from Colorado or Montana, official announced Thursday.
The Sonoma County (Calif.) Sheriff's Office released surveillance photos on Wednesday of persons of interest in the triple slaying in which a Boulder man was killed and a Central City man has been arrested.
Investigators believe the men are possible associates of suspect Mark Cappello and may have information regarding the homicide. On Thursday, they noted the possible Colorado connection.
Cappello, from Central City, was arrested this week in Alabama in connection with the slayings, which occurred Feb. 5 near Forestville, Calif. Police say the three victims, including 42-year-old Todd Klarkowski of Boulder, had wanted to buy a large amount of marijuana.
Anyone with information about these subjects or an associated truck is asked to contact detectives at 707-565-2185.
The vehicle is a gold, early 1990s Ford Ranger.
The video is from the Chevron gas station in St. Helena, Calif., and was taken the day before the slayings.
Cappello and the two unidentified subjects were seen at several gas stations between Denver and Sonoma County, Calif., the sheriff's office said
