An Aurora homeowner was hospitalized late Friday night after a fire broke out in the basement of a home on the 400 block of South Nome Way, authorities say.
The condition of the homeowner, whose name has not been released, was not known Saturday.
Firefighters were called at 10:28 p.m. about the blaze and they were able to extinguish the fire in minutes, said Capt. Allen Robnett, Aurora fire spokesman.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Robnett said. No firefighters were hurt during the rescue.
