A sex offender once featured on the television show "America's Most Wanted" was arrested Sunday afternoon in Aurora.
The U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force picked up Matthew Preston Caulk, 46, at about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of South Ventura Street in Aurora, which is near East Hampden Avenue and South Tower Road.
Caulk was convicted for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in Washington state in 2002 and was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender in Montana when he was found in Morrison with a missing 16-year-old girl from Lakewood in 2007.
Caulk allegedly walked away from a halfway house in Denver on Feb. 15, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
