Font ResizeLA PLATA COUNTY — The family of a missing teenage boy from Monument returned to southwest Colorado on Sunday morning to search an area of Vallecito Lake.
Dylan Redwine, 14, vanished a week before Thanksgiving while visiting his father near Bayfield.
Directly afterward, members of the La Plata County Sheriff's Office and a dive team from New Mexico searched a portion of Vallecito Lake for Redwine.
K-9 forensic dogs picked up a human scent under the water, but dive teams discovered nothing.
On Sunday morning, 9News reported, family members sliced an opening in the frozen lake and put the dogs to work. The family later posted on its Facebook page that the dogs didn't provide any new information.
