Interstate 25 north of Fort Collins was reopened just before 10 a.m. after adverse weather conditions had closed it for a couple hours Tuesday morning.
The Colorado Department of Transportation had closed the highway from Wellington to the Wyoming state line as a safety precaution because of icy conditions, harsh winds and blowing snow.
Multiple traffic accidents were reported. gests U.S. Highway 287 or U.S. Highway 85 as alternate routes.
The closure was ordered at 7:44 a.m.
