PERRIS, Calif. — A Camp Pendleton Marine killed while doing a skydiving training exercise in Perris has been identified by coroner's officials as a 26-year-old Colorado resident.
Caleb Medley, of Burlington, Colo., was skydiving with a group of Marines Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 26, at Perris Valley Skydiving when he was killed, authorities said.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the accident. A U.S. Marine Corps spokesman said Tuesday that it was under investigation.
But a man at the Goetz Road business where Medley's body was discovered said it appeared that his parachute didn't open.
