Font ResizeLONDRES—El costarricense Nery Brenes quedó eliminado el sábado al terminar cuarto en la serie clasificatoria de los 400 metros del atletismo de los Juegos Olímpicos.
Brenes, quien en marzo se consagró campeón mundial bajo techo en Estambul, empleó 45.65 segundos.
La serie la ganó el belga Kevin Borlee con tiempo de 45.14. El británico Martyn Rooney y el sudanés Rabah Yousif finalizaron segundo y tercero, con 45.36 y 45.46, respectivamente.
Los tres primeros avanzaron a semifinales.
