U.S. Marshals captured fugitives Alexander Reosle Smith and Shane Bursie today in the Montbello neighborhood of Denver.
Smith and Bursie, 24, were two of three men who escaped from an Alamosa halfway house on Jan. 14.
The Marshals captured the third man, Silas Padilla, on Thursday at a Motel 6 in Lakewood.
Smith was captured at 11 a.m. on a street in Montbello after the Marshals developed information about where he might be, said deputy U.S. Marshal Charlie Ahmad.
A few hours later, Bursie pulled up on the same street in a stolen Dodge Durango, Ahmad said.
"He attempted to run, but we cornered him quickly and he gave up," Ahmad said.
The three men ran from the San Luis Valley Community Corrections halfway house after severely beating a fellow resident, according to the Colorado Department of Corrections.
Each of the men are expected to face charges related to the escape and assault.
