The man shot by police after he crashed his car during a high-speed chase that started in Denver and ended in Aurora on Friday night has been arrested.
Larry Gomez, 33, was released from the hospital Sunday into Denver Police custody.
Gomez was wanted in connection with two incidents in Denver and Westminster, where shots were fired at police making traffic stops.
The Friday chase ended when Gomez and two Denver Police cruisers crashed near Interstate 225 and East Iliff Avenue at about 7 p.m., police said.
Gomez faces charges in Denver for attempted homicide of a police officer and aggravated motor vehicle theft. Additional charges for the Friday night crash are pending as Aurora police continue their investigation.
