Blake Street got some purple passion today inadvance of the Colorado Rockies' season.
Denver City Councilwoman Judy Monteroceremoniously painted an 18-inch purple stripe and Rockies' logos down Blake Street near Coors Field, from 22nd Street to 19th Street, with the help of the city's traffic engineering services crew.
The city said the water-based paint is temporary and safe for the environment.
